This book is dedicated to every person who has ever dared to love
and to those who dared to love again after love or marriage the first
time around did not work out as planned.
 
To those who struggle with intimate connections because the bond
of intimacy with your mother is broken: I honor your pain and I
share your struggle. Many people do not understand our experiences
with love and intimacy. The person who was supposed to teach us
about love and connecting deeply could not. Our struggle is real, but
we are not alone and we indeed deserve and will have love if we
continue to do the work.
